May Circle Recap

Another lovely group of people enjoyed Reiki one last time in our old space on Franklin. I'm always so grateful that strangers can come together to create sacred, safe space.  And these folks were troopers! The old space was mostly undone and moved to the new location for BAT. Some of the amenities, oh, I dunno, like chairs, were missing. But we made do with our Reiki tables and good vibes.

Have you seen the new BAT space? It is lovely. Quieter, softer, nicer, more spacious, better parking. All good! Hope you can join us in June.

March Reiki Circle Recap

A lovely time was had by all ten of us at our March Reiki Circle. We were mostly Reiki rookies but one Reiki Master joined us. One of the questions was if Reiki would help a person receive messages or develop ESP. My short and admittedly flippant answer to that is that if it were that easy, we'd have a lot more rich psychics in the world and Reiki Masters on every corner. A longer answer to that is easier to give in person. I will say that many folks do see colors or images, or feel like they receive messages when giving or receiving Reiki. However, the meaning of those experiences is much harder to access, especially if you think the message is for someone else. My own such experiences over the years are like a rich sensory tapestry, though not quite a map, to which I often turn for contemplation and inspiration.

Yep, we're still on for the Reiki Circle tomorrow! Come fill yourself and our community with love, light, and good vibes.

The Spiel: A Reiki Circle is a gathering of people - some know Reiki, others are Reiki Rookies - who share Reiki in short, group sessions. Everyone gives. Everyone receives.

In partnership with Craig and Neilie of Buffalo Alternative Therapies, the Reiki Circle will be held in their serene and comfortable location in Allentown, pictured at left.

February's Reiki Circle Re-Cap

I was so happy that we had several visitors to our Reiki Circle in February, including a young child. Did you know that kids usually love Reiki? My experience has been that kids are very well behaved during a Reiki Circle and enjoy the experience. If you'd like to bring your child, please do. There is of course the caveat for a child, or really anyone, that if something becomes disruptive we'll have to lovingly deal with it in a way that is best for everyone.

There was a mix of Reiki Rookies, a Reiki practitioner, and someone who'd received Reiki before.  As the sessions progressed, we took turns giving Reiki to different parts of the body. Everyone shared a little of their experience in giving and receiving energy. All in all a lovely evening!

One note is that while you may come to the Reiki Circle at any point between 5-7pm, it is preferred you come at 5pm. We introduce ourselves and talk about Reiki for the first 15 minutes and then break up into small groups. There is no disruption that way and it can be more comfortable for someone to receive Reiki from someone they've been introduced to.

Free Monthly Reiki Circle in February in Downtown Buffalo

I wish I could say I was an eager beaver in the last month, working diligently at advertising this event, but alas I cannot. This is more the energy of "Build it and they will come." That said, my enthusiasm hasn't waned for our second free, monthly Reiki Circle in downtown Buffalo. We are still doing this to be a friend in helping you fill yourself and our community with love, light, and good vibes.
